T7 Cholera ptxb1 Toehold LacZ
Toehold switches are riboregulators that are hairpin structures that open to expose the Ribosomal binding sites located in the loop when their corresponding RNA binds to a complementary sequence. This switch was designed to recognize the sequence located within the CtxB1 gene from V. cholera. This gene is non-toxic and specific to only pathogenic strains of V. cholera. This switch is to be used with the complementary trigger part BBaK2550003.
